Alex Pall’s Hollywood Home Was Designed By Peti Lau

The Chainsmokers are one of the most unique musical acts out right now. Alex Pall is one half of the musical duo. The other member of the group is Andrew Taggart. They met through mutual contacts. When they began making music together, they knew that they had something special that they needed to share with the world.

Alex Pall is known for his excellent taste. His taste in music is exceptional, but we are talking about his tastes in interior design. When Alex Pall purchased his Hollywood Hills home, he had Peti Lau help him decorate it.

The home was originally built in the 1930s, and Alex Pall made the purchase just recently. The home is a total of 3,600-square-feet, and was renovated in the late 80s and early 90s.

Every room in Pall’s new house is uniquely its own. The bedroom is stone floor with a thick, woolly carpet. The living room is futuristic, yet primal, with what appears to be a handmade table and dozens of couch pillows.

About The Chainsmokers

Alex Pall was not originally partnered with Andrew Taggart. The duo wasn’t introduced to each other until Alex Pall’s original partner bailed on him. Working at Interscope Records, Andrew Taggart made contacts that enabled him to meet Alex Pall. When the two teamed up, their music was so unique that they knew they had something special.

In an interview, Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart explained that they used what was popular to form their own sound. They studied the music and found out what worked and what didn’t. The end result was a sound that is truly their own.

In the same interview, they also discussed Instagram and how it enabled them to discover who was actually listening to their music. The typical Chainsmoker fan is between the ages of 16-25, but the gender demographics are split almost completely down the middle.

Chainsmokers’ Debut Album Remains Smoking Hot at Top of Dance Chart

The dance electronic duo, The Chainsmokers, has seen massive success with their debut album, Memories… Do Not Open. The album has had 34 turns in the No. 1 slot on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, and is tied for third for the most weeks spent in the top seat.

The duo, which consists of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart, partnered with other chart-toppers, including Coldplay and Florida Georgia Line, on their first full-length album. Taggart describes their style as “blurring the lines between indie, pop music, dance music, and hip-hop,” and lists Pharrell Williams, Linkin Park and deadmau5 as influences. Memories… Do Not Open is on track to surpass Gorillaz’s Demon Days to claim third place as its own.

The Chainsmokers’ release of Memories… Do Not Open in April 2017 launched the duo into the dance/electronic music spotlight as the album debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200. The album was certified platinum in August 2017, the same month the duo was listed as third on Forbes World’s Highest Paid DJs list with earnings of $38 million.

Pall and Taggart found initial success in 2014 with their single “#Selfie,” which ranked on international dance/electronic charts. Described as “life-changing” by Pall, “#Selfie” set the stage for The Chainsmokers to continue on a path to greater chart-topping success. In 2015, their follow-up single, “Roses,” and debut EP, Bouquet, found commercial success. Additionally, in 2016, the duo partnered with Halsey on “Closer,” which peaked at No. 1 in both the United States and United Kingdom, and prompted an 18th place ranking on DJ Magazine’s “Top 100 DJs” list for the pair.

The Chainsmokers’ star does not appear to be fading, as the duo prepares to release a second studio album this year. Through a series of releases of singles like “Sick Boy,” “You Owe Me” and “Somebody,” Pall and Taggart continue to keep fans of their music enthralled and on the hook for more.
