Sam Tabar; Legal and Financial Wizard

Sam Tabar started out by getting his Bachelor’s degree in Jurisprudence in 2000, from the University of Oxford and went on to get his Master’s Degree in Law in 2001, from Columbia Law School. While at Columbia, he served as Associate Editor of Columbia Business Law Review, and shortly after graduation from Columbia, Tabor went on to become an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slater, Meagher, & Flom, LLP, which is considered to be one of the world’s most prestigious law firms.

While Sam was there at Skadden, he would counsel clients on such things as side letters, employment issues, regulatory and compliance issues, the formation and structure of hedge funds, investment management agreements, and more.

He was there for almost six years, when he decided to take the plunge into high finance by becoming the Managing Director of Sparx Group/PMA after starting out as counsel, and even became Co-Head of Business Development. His duties there included working and managing all areas of global marketing and investor relations for a $2 billion hedge fund and he brought over 2,000 potential qualified investors. In 2011, Sam Tabar became Director and Head of Capital Strategy for the Asia-Pacific region of the Bank of Merrill Lynch. Again, Tabor performed successfully in counseling hedge fund clients and bringing in over 1,250 institutional investors. He left Merrill Lynch in 2012 and became Director of Adanac LLC, BVI. While at Adanac, he invested in properties and start-up companies such as Verboten and Thinx. While he was successful in the financial world, Tabor decided to give it up and re-enter the legal world.

In September 2013 Sam joined up with Schutte, Roth, & Zabel LLC as a Senior Associate, specifically dealing with hedge funds. He counseled on such things as employment issues, regulatory and compliance issues, side letters, formation and structuring hedge funds, and investment management agreements.

According to Angel.co, Sam Tabar left the firm in March of 2014, and is currently with FullCycleFund as Partner, and already making a splash. He has already created a special list of 250 investors and raised substantial capital for the firm, two of the many things he has accomplished.

Sam Tabar’s Twitter account is a bit quiet, but his Facebook page is busy. He has postings of various events happening, and photos of events he attends or has hosted. He leads a very full and exciting life.
