Vijay Eswaran’s Q1 Embraces Gandhi’s Values

Vijay Eswaran, Q1 Group Executive Chairman was born on October 7, 1960 in Penang, Malaysia. His father was a teacher of the MALAYSIAN Ministry of Labour. Eswaran was educated at the London School of Economics, where in 1984 he graduated with a degree in Socio-economics. After taking some time off to perform odd jobs, Esarwan enrolled in the Southern Illinois University where he earned his MBA degree.

Vijay Eswaran has acquired experience plucking grapes, driving a cab, and in the multi-level marketing field. Prior to acquiring his MBA, Eswaran developed the binary system for marketing that had earned him a CIMA qualification in the United Kingdom. The Cosway Group was impressed with Vijay Eswaran’s experience in multi-level marketing that they approached him to help them begin their Philippines business.

Upon returning from a trip to Asia, Vijay Eswaran co-founded Q1 Group. Q1 Group is an e commerce group that works in the fields of travel, media, telecommunications, luxury products, wellness, training, and corporate investments. It has regional offices in 10 countries including Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. Q1 has subsidiary companies in more than 30 countries. Eswaran leads with Joseph Bismark, who is the managing director. Bismark is responsible for establishing a foundation of growth for Q1. Eswaran and Bismark’s different leadership styles complement each other and offers a balance in business to keep things honest.

The Q1 Group embraces the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi believed that a person must raise himself in order to help mankind. Gandhi was big on care, service, and integrity. Q1 has established three charities: The RYTHM Foundation, Taarna and Vijayaratnam Foundation. RYTHM Foundation is supposed to help nations in need, feeding the hungry, educating the third world nations, and supplying buildings, and medical care. Taarna is a school that was established to help special needs children with physical and learning disabilities. Vijayaratnam Foundation is a large foundation that helps children with special needs, has a medical camp to teach medicine to people who want to be doctors and nurses. The foundation is passionate about building communities so that third world people can help themselves.
